Social housing

The project to convert the former Carabinieri Lieutenancy involves the construction of 10 housing and related common areas both internal and external. The entire project focuses on the study of the central space between the buildings. The courtyard becomes the focus of the whole project around which gravitate paths, relationships, residents or passers.
The proposed intervention originate from the desire to rationalize distribution systems between the various rooms in the building in question. The study of a better distribution system becomes an opportunity to characterize the entire project transforming the connecting spaces in opportunities for socializing and relationship with the building and the rest of the town.
The optimal distribution of the interior spaces allows you to create apartments with different cuts ranging from 3 to 6 people.
The court in addition to being an important place of spatial and social relations, actively contributes to the regulation of the microclimate of the entire complex. The morphology, the position of the accesses and the green presence allow the control of energy flows, resulting in improved comfort conditions inside the building. There are also a plant for the recovery of rainwater, an integrated photovoltaic system in shelters car parks and solar collectors for domestic hot water production.
