Chi siamo

Studio Professionisti Associati was founded in Cagliari in 1981 by five professionals – Aldo Vanini, Carlo Caredda, Antonio Cabras, Peter Nowè, and Paolo Pittaluga – united by a shared vision developed through their experience within Cooperativa Tecnici, C&P Consulenze e Progettazioni, and A&P Analisi e Progetto. From the very beginning, the firm adopted an operational model based on interdisciplinary collaboration, cultural exchange, and a cooperative approach to work.

Over time, the firm has undergone several phases of evolution and transformation, adapting to changes in the profession and the regulatory context. Today, it operates as an engineering company composed of architects and engineers, offering integrated expertise in architecture, urban planning, and engineering.

The firm’s headquarters are located in Cagliari, in a spacious and easily accessible facility, well-connected by both public and private transport. The workspace is flexible, functional, and designed to accommodate the operational needs of dynamic workgroups, supporting the simultaneous development of multiple projects. Its open and collaborative environment promotes professional interaction and the efficient management of workflow.

The firm's design approach combines research, technical innovation, and sensitivity to context, with the aim of delivering solutions that effectively respond to the functional, environmental, and cultural needs of both public and private clients.

A key feature of the studio's methodology is the stable presence of young designers and ongoing collaboration with a network of specialized consultants, active on both a local and national scale. The studio regularly hosts students and recent graduates from Italian and international universities, encouraging a continuous exchange of skills, experiences, and design visions.

Numerous projects by the firm have been published in architecture journals and exhibited in national and international exhibitions, reflecting the quality and relevance of the work. Participation in international design competitions is a significant part of the firm's activity and a constant opportunity for engagement with the challenges of contemporary architecture.

The studio's partners are also involved in academic and technical research, collaborating with public institutions as experts and serving on technical boards at both local and regional levels.

Over the years, the firm has established collaborations with renowned international studios, including Herzog & de Meuron Architekten, Atelier(s) Alfonso Femia, Studio Boeri, 5+1AA, C+S Associati, PROAP Lda, and ARW – Architectural Research Workshop.

Studio Professionisti Associati continues to operate today with vision, stability, and openness, establishing itself as a design laboratory capable of interpreting the transformations of the present through innovative tools, commitment to quality, and a strong cultural foundation.
