Housing complex C4
The site, near to the major highways communication (SS.130, SS.131) and to the City Hall, it could be considered as a piece of particular interest for the strategic development and expansion of the City of Elmas. The project proposes to focus on a high level of livability, where residential functions are closely connected with commercial ones and services. Building types, which create an urban-type environment, fit into a structured system of public and green spaces of very wide ranging, so as to ensure the maximum practicability and usability of open Spaces.
Volumes bend and break to make a complex system that alternates green areas, public and private walkways, parking areas, according to a purely urban logic. Buildings are deliberately essential: residential volume is configured as a white prism resting on the black base of shops. The facades are articulated by whole height windows, overhanging balconies and verandas that create an alternation of full and empty. The whole site is configured as a large plate with a great underground parking.
