Costeras - international competition

The project aims to reclaim the Borgo Pescatori (fisherman village) inside a complex program thus defining a new role of the entire area into the urban context. The settlement of activities related to medium and large yacht building in the outer harbor is considered one of the basic functions of this program, which could start a series of processes of transformation of the whole area. This function, which we consider as a matter of fact, will be joined by new residences, commercial activities and services, accommodation and catering services to the beach, spaces for sports and leisure, public spaces for events, parties and shows. The intervention will also configure as a natural conclusion of the great waterfront system that the city of Cagliari is building starting from S. Elia, through Su Siccu and Via Roma.
