Coghinas sports complex
The project involves the construction of two facilities required for the full functioning of the recently upgraded sports complex: the changing rooms building and the area for spectators.
The changing room building covers an area of approximately 500 square metres on a single floor and is designed to functionally accommodate about 60 athletes, with additional space for referees and staff, as well as an area for associations (offices and a multifunctional hall). The building is designed to be as environmentally and energetically sustainable as possible, with masonry and wood construction (which can be completely disassembled at the end of its life) and the implementation of photovoltaic and solar thermal systems integrated in a plant engineering philosophy aimed at limiting consumption and ensuring maximum management flexibility. Volumetrically, the building is developed longitudinally, reconstituting, by means of a large walled surface, the limit of the lot and thus acting as a filter between the city and the existing sports spaces; on the other hand, the elevation towards the field is defined by a series of openings that allow access to athletes in a controlled and differentiated manner.
The area for the public, located diametrically opposite the locker rooms, in an area duly confined with respect to the field and the athletics track, will host a covered metal grandstand with a capacity of about 200 seats, fully accessible to the disabled by means of a ramp, below which the toilets for the public are located. The area will be paved with permeable systems to allow access to emergency and service vehicles and to set up stands and kiosks.
