New "Brotzu" hospital entrance
The project is part of the riqualification and expansion of the Brotzu hospital and, in particular, involves the construction of a new entrance to the structure. The main interventions that characterize the new access start from the need for a rethinking of the ramp design, in particular with respect to its volumetric perception and making systemputting in relation with the entrance element so as to originate a unitary element with the necessary importance and visibility, apart from a geometric centrality and symmetry.
In this way it was possible to use the strong presence of the ramp to give it a weight and an importance that goes beyond the pure function, transforming it into a real entrance system.
The project provides a railing made of a colored crystal slim panel supported by a metal structure, the positioning of a paving stone in the definition of the pedestrian path and the realization of a protect main entrance, designed as a ribbon folding consists in stone pedestrian entrance.
