Social Housing Plan
The site, an urban void, is charaterized by the presence of the buildings of Convento di San Giuseppe/Fattoria Mannazzu, buildings protected for their historical significance, by the proximity of an important road (via Vesalio) and of the tramway line and by the presence of a nearby public housing settlement of the '60s with its unique architectural structure.
In accordance with local planning regulations, the project proposes a complex intervention for the establishment of a functional mix that includes social housing, residences for the free market, an area destined to urban gardens, a sports park and a public park. The various functions are located within a large linear park, entirely crossed by a pedestrian/bicycle path, thus constituting the connective tissue of the entire intervention.
