Pratzas de Janas - Routes of culture
"Pratzas" is not a project or a contract in the usual sense of the terms.
It's a process to recover meanings and functions on an area that encloses the heart of the city partially included in the historical center but not just in the center. It includes interventions on different paths but it is not a project of urbanization or urban design. It retrains several buildings but it is not a building intervention. In some cases only uses light. In others only the floors. In others only the architecture.
It's a new way to operate made of invisible traces and cultural continuity that aims to accompany the visitor along thematic routes to discover places and significant events, but those places are not the target. The true purpose of the itinerary is travelling watching the Center of the city in its articulation and complexity, and is not the goal nor the emerging episode.
Streets, plazas, squares, buildings and functions held within them, everything becomes an opportunity for knowledge and reflection and, finally, is the City as a whole the real identifying element. "Pratzas" is this and the project seeks to interpret sense that takes place in accompanying the visitor to the discovery of the City, gracefully and gently, seeking and respecting the "Genius loci", the impalpable identity of the places that makes them unique and which it is entrusted with the difficult task of handing down the historical identity.
