Coastal architectural projects - Poetto
The objectives of the proposed project start directly from actions on the beach, through the redefinition of equipment and beach facilities and the accessibility system boundary, to extend to urban scale.
In general the project aims to rearrange the activities present and rationalized according to the logic of compatibility with the places not with a purely architectural and compositional approach, but by building operational strategies from the small-scale of beach services to arrive until the urban dimension. The coast is connected to the rest of the urban system both physically and functionally giving it an urban dimension that takes into account its peculiarities abandoning the stereotyped image that characterizes the coastal landscapes.
The project actions are guided by an overall vision that is oriented not only to the protection and conservation actions, but also to the transformation and innovation actions involving public and private entities.
The final product is a modular structure that will allow in time to respond to different types of use, it consists of an abacus of elements combined in a different way depending on the needs of the operators and to the variability of the requirements in time. The system consists of a central element to the frame on which stood two wooden volumes destined respectively to the bar and restaurant area. These volumes are constituted by panels which can completely close by windows and shading elements of various type for the operation in the winter season.
The core is a flexible device that allows hosting a rail system, for maximum flexibility of use: on the horizontal planes can scroll stained glass panels, wood with various holes, brise soleil in wood paneling customizable canvas with the local graphics or to advertise events or demonstrations; the vertical plane of the roof can slide instead of canvas panels that allow to totally or partially shade the different areas of the premises or close them completely during the winter season.
