Adventure Park Clubhouse

Nestled in a picturesque coastal pine forest, the new building serving the adventure park of Pula presents itself as a single, fully timber-constructed volume, seamlessly integrated into the landscape.
The project was developed in response to the need for a functional and welcoming space for park visitors, while maintaining the utmost respect for the natural environment. The structure is positioned in a clearing free of trees, avoiding interference with root systems and preserving the existing ecosystem. Lightness, modularity, and sustainability are the guiding principles of the intervention.
The architecture blends formal references to both alpine cabins and coastal pavilions, combining traditional sloped roofs with large glass openings that ensure visual and physical continuity between indoors and outdoors. The interior layout includes a refreshment area, kitchen, pantry, and a restroom block composed of several units, including accessible facilities—all organized according to a clear and efficient functional logic. The covered outdoor area, furnished with picnic tables, is conceived as a natural extension of the interior, ideal for open-air dining or group activities under the shade of the roof and surrounding pines.
The construction system is based on a raised wooden platform supported by posts, allowing the structure to adapt to the terrain without altering it, thus minimizing environmental impact. This design choice, together with the use of natural and certified materials, enables the complete disassembly of the building and the potential reuse or recycling of its components, in line with circular architecture principles. Wooden railings, accessible ramps, and a general focus on inclusivity round out a project designed for everyone.
By integrating restrooms, shared spaces, and the refreshment area into a single volume, the building ensures more efficient operations and reduces visual impact on the landscape. This compact and respectful approach contributes to enhancing the value of the site, offering park users a comfortable, safe, and nature-immersed space that fosters an authentic and sustainable visitor experience.
